BioI've been collecting books since I was little. My Mom is an avid reader, and even my Dad would read occassionally. My mom breaks the spines, spills food and drink on them, and loves them to death. No one's sure where I got the obsessive compulsive tendencies that allow me to read books without anyone being able to tell I did. I have close to 3000 books catalogued on LibraryThing. In addition to my love of reading, I also love (and collect, to my husband's dismay) movies on DVD. I'm just waiting for someone to create a website like librarything for DVDs. I'm one of those that rewatches movies again and again. My taste in movies ranges as wildly as my taste in books, though I do tend to avoid chick flicks. I love big Hollywood movies, and am usually a very forgiving audience. My disbelief is suspended, I want to be entertained, and I paid 10 bucks.... If it's a popcorn flick, I don't hold it against the movie. So, naturally enough books and movies are what pop up in my LJ the most often.
I work for the federal government as an Information Specialist (don't ask me what that is, they don't know). I've been married for 10 years and I drive a bright solar yellow PT Cruiser. I smile a lot, and people tend to underestimate me thinking I'm not serious (or even a couple bricks short of a load). Kinda weird to be labeled that way because I'm perky. NMP. My Mom's new motto - "not my problem." I have three cats - one small, one medium, and one very large! I love my family, which includes my friends. I enjoy video games, though I'm not good at it so I play them all on easy. We have an X-box 360, x-box, and we play Guild Wars. My favorite games are RPGs because I like wandering around opening chests, breaking vases and generally being larcenous. Killing monsters is just an added bonus. That's pretty much me, or at least all I'm willing to share now.
